Today we go deep, deep into a world that many of us have experienced, we have all witnessed it in the news and I am going to share my story with you about my personal journey. As a former talent agent, I have come into contact with many famous people, even before they were famous. I’ve always been a hard worker and strived for more in all I do. But what happens when you have to decide whether climbing the ladder is worth being objectified?

How I Chose My Career Path
I come from a line of talent agents and it seemed to be in my blood that I would choose the same career path…so I did. I started at the bottom and worked my way up. At times it felt like I was in bootcamp with the way I was spoken to and treated, but in the end, I learned valuable lessons, met some wonderful (and not-so-wonderful) people and learned important things about myself.
The #MeToo Movement
It’s gotten so big that it has a hashtag and women around the world are coming forward with their #MeToo stories. Unfortunately, like many, I have one as well and I know many of the women who have come forward with their stories. Choosing to come forward is only the beginning of choices you will have to make but you are brave and you deserve better.
Respect
No matter who you are, what you do or where you live, you deserve respect. What we give is what we should get, therefore you should respect the people you work with and respect your bosses. In turn, YOU deserve to be respected.
